FYI mine was GIMP RC1 (release candidate 1) and I found out it was unstable when it suddenly crashed while I'm working on a picture of my daughter a couple of days ago. I've done some googling and I found out that GIMP RC3 has been released and downloaded it. I haven't encounter any problems yet but till today it worked fine.
