Create A Grungy Vector Brush
In this tutorial you learn how to create a grunge brush in GIMP.
Step 1:
Create a new image (500x500).
Make sure, that the background is white.
Create a new layer.
Step 2:
Make a selection using the "Ellipse Seclect" (Shortcut: E). To make a perfect circle check "Fixed" and choose "Aspect ratio" with the value "1:1". Fill it with "#9a9a9a" (a gray).

Now shrink the selection by 15px (Select -> Shrink). Fill it with black. Shrink it again by 50px. Fill it with "#9a9a9a" (a gray). Shrink by 50px and fill it with black.

Step 3:
Now we are going to add some grunge. Add a layer mask (Layer -> Mask -> Add Layer Mask; White full opacity). Use Filters -> Render -> Clouds -> Plasma
Random seed 0
Turbulence: 1.0
After that apply the layer mask (Layer -> Mask -> Apply Layer Mask)

Step 4:
Use Filters -> Distorts -> Wind

Step 5:
Apply the things below:
Go on Layer -> Transparancy -> Alpha to Selection
Image -> Crop to Selection
Select all (Select -> All)
Image -> Flatten Image
Image -> Mode -> Grayscale
Step 6:
Now save the brush into your brushes folder ( docs.gimp.org ) as a .gbr
Step 7:
Restart GIMP or refresh your brushes.
Use it in your images :P
