The brushes looks really good but I don't know how to install them.Normally I just unzip them into the Gimp Brushes Folder but with this it don't work:/Someone can help me?

Silent.Alarm make sure the .abr file is placed inside the main brushes folder and not in a sub folder.

I am running gimpshop 2.2.11 on a mac and I have placed the .abr file in the burshes folder and nothing new showed up in my brushes menu. Is it that I am running Mac? Or is it that I have Gimpshop instead of Gimp? I would love to download more burshes and things but if they are all .abr files I will not be able to do that.

The help would be greatly appreciated!

only Gimp 2.4 and up support .abr brushes.. i would suggeste using gimp 2.4 or if you must have the photoshop like menus try http://gimphoto.com.

gimpshop is old and seems to be a dead project .

I noticed in GIMP 2.4.5 for windows, there are no ABR Files in the C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\brushes directory, is this normal?

you simply place the file in gimp's brush's folder. it's the exactly same way you install gimp brushes..

I have GIMP 2.4 on my Dell computer. I find the brush I need, hit download, go to the file named gimp 2.4, go to the file 'brushes' which is inside the gimp 2.4 file, hit download but when I go to gimp. The brushes aren't there, what i'm I doing wrong?

for some odd reason sometimes it doesn't work.. unless you place them in all of the gimp brush folders.. make a search all brushes folders and place the brush in each.

After Installing UBUNTU, I found GIMP a a free utlity and i loved it but soon I was tired. I have been using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and I thought I shall not use anything else but, Gimp made me addicted to it. Thanks for sharing some more brushes. I got quite a lot free resources and started loving all open sources utilities.
