Im very very new to Gimp and I have no idea how to save these. I have read that you have to save them into the Gimp folder but I dont know where that is. How do I save them?

I am having difficulty downloading the brushes. My computer says that I need a program to download them, I have Winzip but it still won't allow the download. Is there a free program that will let me download the brushes?

no program needed, just drop the .ABR file into gimp's brushes folder

i tried to download them but i cant use them, anybody know why?

I can't seem to use the gradient tool to create effects like that.

Is it each brush is used once on a different layer, and then that layer is filled with the gradient??

What are .ABR files?

Could anyone please help? I'm very new and I don't know what .ABR files are and how they affect download.

its the same as any GIMP brush, you need to place it in the brushes folder.. check this page for help http://gimper.net/index.php?topic=7.0

how to color the brushes... when i paste the brush its black or i should say in gray color... how can i color it??

i tried downloading them but it gave me the unknown error. when i tried DLING from deviantart, i thot it was becuz u made them in photoshop 7, and it wasnt compatible with GIMP 2.4, well this one says it works and i have the appropriate version, but it still doesnt work.

"unknown error, try saving to disc first"
